Our Story

Blue Finch Interiors traces its roots back to the winding streets of West London, where its founder spent early years living in South Kensington while studying design in Notting Hill Gate. With a keen eye for craftsmanship and timeless design, the founder often wandered the bustling markets of Portobello Road and explored the antique shops lining Kensington Church Street and Chelsea. Visits to the V&A Museum and the Design Museum further deepened this appreciation for historical and contemporary design. Additionally, afternoons were spent browsing the elegant furniture stores along Fulham Road, drawing inspiration from the refined craftsmanship and design ethos present in each piece. These places, rich with history and stories, sparked a fascination with brass ironmongery and classic British interior design.

It was during one of those weekend strolls through Portobello Market that the founder stumbled upon a small ironmongery stall, its brass handles and fixtures gleaming under the soft afternoon light. The intricate patterns and the weight of each piece felt like holding a fragment of history. Collecting these pieces began as part of student projects, but soon their potential to transform ordinary spaces into elegant, character-filled interiors became clear.

The passion grew, and after graduating, the founder was drawn back to these iconic streets, building relationships with local artisans and antique dealers. A brand was envisioned to preserve and celebrate the enduring charm of classic ironmongery while adapting it for modern homes.

From its humble beginnings, Blue Finch Interiors quickly grew into a thriving business, offering an extensive collection of brass hardware, door and window fittings, and bespoke interior pieces. The founder remained committed to sourcing the finest materials and working with skilled craftsmen to ensure each item carried the same spirit that first captivated them as a student.

Today, Blue Finch Interiors stands as a testament to this vision, blending the elegance of antique design with contemporary needs. Whether it's a brass doorknob reminiscent of Victorian homes or a sleek, modern cabinet pull, each piece tells a story rooted in the rich heritage of London's iconic streets.
